Selection Process

The selection process for this scholarship is competitive, and successful applicants will be chosen based on merit.

To begin the selection process, our Scholarships Co-ordinator will conduct an initial shortlisting of all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Those who pass the initial stage will then proceed to the next selection stage.

During the next stage, an awarding panel consisting of representatives from Admissions, Widening Participation, and the Immigration Advisory Service will review the applications. The panel members understand that applicants may possess a diverse range of skills, attributes, and experiences, and they will consider both the applicant’s academic record and their responses to the questions posed in the award application form. The panel will evaluate the content of the answers and their relevance to the questions, rather than the standard of writing.

The panel will assess the applications against the stated criteria and make their final decision about the award recipients and reserve candidates.

If you have any questions about the selection process, please reach out to scholarships@gold.ac.uk.
